How to submit VyprVPN app logs to support

As VyprVPN is a no logs VPN, you will need to agree to logging locally on your device by enabling the "Help VyprVPN better understand connection results, such as VPN connection issues and connection failures." option under the Advanced section of the General tab within the VyprVPN app Settings. Next you will need to explicitly agree to send your application and log files to Support for troubleshooting purposes by following the instructions for your operating system below:

Windows

  1. Click the Settings icon
  2. Click Help
  3. Click Contact Support
  4. Type a description of the issue you are experiencing
  5. Make sure the Include Application Logs box is checked
  6. Click Email Support

Mac

  1. With the VyprVPN app open, click Help in the menu bar
  2. Click Contact Support
  3. Type a description of the issue you are experiencing
  4. Make sure the Include Application Logs box is checked
  5. Click Email To Support

Android and Android TV

  1. Tap/click the Settings icon
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap/click Help
  3. Tap/click Contact Support
  4. Type a description of the issue you are experiencing
  5. Make sure the Attach connection log and Attach application log boxes are checked
  6. Tap/click Contact Support

iOS

  1. Tap the Settings icon
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Help
  3. Tap Contact Support
  4. Type a description of the issue you are experiencing
  5. Make sure the Include connection log box is checked
  6. Click Send

Router App

  1. Under VyprVPN on the left hand side, click Support
  2. Enter your Name and Email
  3. Type a description of the issue you are experiencing
  4. Make sure the Include connection log box is checked
  5. Click Send

Linux CLI

  1. Replicate the issue you are experiencing.
  2. Run the following command in Terminal -

    tail -n 500 /var/log/syslog > vyprvpn.txt

  3. The output will be in vyprvpn.txt in the home directory.
  4. If you are already working with support, simply attach the log in your reply email.  Otherwise, send an email to support@goldenfrog.com with the logs attached, as well as a description of the issue.
